HR GENERALIST
DIRECT HIRE | $65K – 70K
DOWNTOWN, HOUSTON
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor HR coordinators, co-ops, and interns in completing HR tasks and responsibilities.
- Partner with hiring managers to manage job requisitions, update job descriptions, and oversee recruitment activities.
- Coordinate onboarding processes, including background checks, drug testing, new hire orientations, and paperwork compliance.
- Oversee offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and termination notifications.
- Serve as project manager for HR calendar activities like talent reviews, salary administration, open enrollment, and compliance reporting.
- Manage performance review processes and organize company-wide events, including service awards and philanthropic activities.
- Coordinate corporate intern programs, university partnerships, career fairs, and recruitment events.
- Maintain personnel files, update organizational charts, and prepare reports, including the Annual Affirmative Action Report.
- Handle logistics and record-keeping for company training programs, ensuring completion in the Learning Management System.
- Support executive presentations, communication slide creation, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience with progressive administrative roles; Workday preferred.
- College degree required or 10 years of HR experience with increasing project complexity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Additional Information:
Requires occasional travel (up to 15%) to field facilities and other offices.
